This unique course is specifically designed to give you an advantage in the workplace. It combines a degree, a Business Readiness programme and professional qualifications. You can also choose between undertaking a work or research internship and studying overseas.
All this is within the same three years as a traditional degree. In your third year you can chose to specialise in an area of business that interests you most. Specialisms include human resource management, entrepreneurship, finance, or service operations. What you will study In Year 1 you will learn about organisational behaviour, business statistics and information management, and business economics.
You will also undertake professional training to enhance your CV. You will choose between a work placement we will provide support and where possible you will be paid or a period of study abroad at one of our partner institutions. Alternatively, you may choose to start a new business with support from us or take a research work placement — suitable if you are considering an academic career.
You will undertake your work or research placement, study abroad or start your own business during Year 2. In Year 3 everyone studies strategic management, and leadership. You can then specialise in human resource management, entrepreneurship, finance, or service operations.
If you stay on the general management track, you will be able to choose from a range of options such as a dissertation, business psychology, professional selling and sales management, marketing communications, or some of the specialism modules.
You will make the best use of your time at University on this course, as alongside your studies you will also have a Business Readiness programme talks, workshops, networking, practice and advice.
